The White House State Dinner for Chinese President Hu was made instantly more fashionable with First Lady Michelle Obama’s choice to wear an Alexander McQueen dress. The dress was designed by Sarah Burton, the successor to McQueen after his death early last year. It is part of the label’s 2011 resort collection.

The dress was originally featured with short sleeves, but the gown Mrs. Obama wore is sleeveless, thus playing up her amazing arms. The dress is also incredibly flattering in color and cut for Mrs. Obama. It is tucked in all the right places and fits her figure fabulously.
