Nicole Richie For Macy’s Impulse

I will be the first to admit that when she first “came on the scene,” if you will, I wasn’t a big Nicole Richie fan. Well, quite honestly, I am skeptical of anyone that has ever aligned themselves with Paris Hilton. And it wasn’t because she had a reality show (I am a connoisseur of fine terrible reality TV), it was mostly I didn’t care for the way she presented herself and the people she kept in her crowd. You see, I am becoming my mother and as she always said, “You are who you hang out with.” But after her image overhaul, she started to grow on me. And then she entered the fashion world as a designer. I am always hesitant when celebrities enter the fashion world as they can often be, well, less-than-great (yeah Kanye West, I’m looking at you and your girlfriend) but then there are some cases where they can be great (Hey Olsen sisters, I am still waiting for you to adopt me as the other sister) and Nicole Richie is climbing her way to the latter of the two. I love the pieces that House of Harlow 1960 produces and I adore their shoes and accessories. Plus I have to admit, Ms. Richie has become one of my favorite fashion It girls with a great sense of style and she always has incredible hair. And so with that in mind, I am pretty excited for today’s launch of Nicole Richie for Macy’s Impulse. See that image above? Yeah I love that shirt (which can be found here). And studded leggings? Abso-frickin-lutely (I kept it clean). But for real. Leather and studs—we are already off to a good start. And without further rambling from yours truly, I present you more pictures from the ad campaign and links to get some of the looks because, if like me, you are so going to want these pieces (and they are reasonable priced. Touché Macy’s, touché.)
